Hoʻolono i ka Lāʻau Laukahi: Listen to the Plant Medicine, Laukahi

Admission: $40 members; $55 non-members

Lāʻau Aloha brings awareness to lāʻau lapaʻau, healing plants by crafting lāʻau based remedies and resources. In this workshop we will meet, and learn how to identify, two common varieties of Laukahi, Plantago Major & Plantago Lanceolata. These common “weeds” grow all around us, and have many healing properties.

Weʻll learn about Laukahiʻs healing powers, how to request Lauakahiʻs assistance, how to prepare a poultice and a tea, and everyone will make an oil infusion of this amazing healing plant friend. Workshop participants will be provided with all materials to make their own jar of Laukahi oil infusion to add to their home first aid kit.


Unukupukupu + ʻŪniki: Fostering Indigenous Leadership + Service Through Hula

Join us for an immersive panel discussion with UNUKUPUKUPU Kumu Hula as they delve into their ʻūniki process and its profound outcomes, and impact on the wellbeing of community.

UNUKUPUKUPU, under the tutelage of Dr. Taupouri Tangaro, descends from the hula lineage of Keaukaha's Hālau O Kekuhi.


Kaulana Mahina Workshop

Join us for an educational and insightful mahina workshop with Haunani Miyasato of Kaulana Mahina. Gain foundational ʻike about the mahina, our moon, from a Hawaiian perspective and how it relates to all aspects of our environment. This workshop touches on the practice of kilo (observation), the moon phases and the patterns the the mahina follows.


The Culture of Hula Kiʻi in the Tangarō+Kanakaʻole ʻOhana

Immerse yourself in the world of Hula Kiʻi with Kekuhi Kealiʻikanakaʻoleohaililani and Taupōuri Tangarō (aka Kaipo Frias).

Together with family and friends, they will share the captivating culture of Hula Kiʻi, Image Dances, covering its historical roots, evolution as a family dance expression, and its profound impact on the lāhui (community).
