Sesame Street: One World, One Sky

One World, One Sky: Big Bird’s Adventure

Explore the night sky with your favorite friends from Sesame Street in Big Bird's Adventure: One World, One Sky . Follow along with Big Bird, Elmo, and their friend from China, Hu Hu Zhu, as they take you on a journey of discovery to learn about the Big Dipper, the North Star, the Sun, and the Moon.


One Sky Project

One Sky Project is an international collaboration focused on increasing understanding about cultural and indigenous astronomy, its historical and modern applications, and how our One Sky connects us all. Enjoy stories, presented in a series of short films, about the night sky from Hawaiʻi and cultures across the globe.

Cosmic Perspectives

We know that space is big. But just how big? Where do we, explores fit in with the scale of the universe? Journey through the vastness of the universe with an ‘Imiloa astronomer as your guide in this live interactive planetarium program. Learn how the observatories on Maunakea have contributed to our knowledge of our place amongst the stars!


Messengers of Space and Time

Messengers of Time and Space is a free, immersive, full-length 4K NSF NOIRLab-produced planetarium show made possible through a grant from the U.S. National Science Foundation called Gemini in the Era of Multi-Messenger Astronomy (GEMMA), which is aimed at advancing the leadership role of the International Gemini Observatory in the area of multi-messenger astronomy. The planetarium show highlights how Gemini will work together with observatories that monitor the night sky for exciting astronomical events that change with time, such as the NSF–DOE Vera C. Rubin Observatory.


Tales of the Maya Skies

Tales of the Maya Skies immerses you in the beauty of the “seventh wonder of the modern world,” Mexico’s Chichén Itzá. Hear the story of the ancient Maya civilization. Experience a new digital full-dome planetarium show, Tales of the Maya Skies, which transports you to the jungles of Mexico, presenting the rich history and culture of the ancient Maya. Using the latest three dimensional laser scanning and advanced graphic techniques, Tales of the Maya Skies weaves together the richness of Maya culture, stories, and science. Tales of the Maya Skies is available in both an English language version and a Spanish language version.
